A life-size, drivable LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear just hit 111 km/h at the Goodwood estate, making it the fastest drivable LEGO car ever built. That's more than double the previous record of 50 km/h, and it was driven in reverse up the iconic hill by Markus Lundh, the same Koenigsegg test driver who set a real hill climb record there in 2025.
The full-scale build is made from 327,906 LEGO elements, weighs around 1,800 kg (400 kg of which is actual LEGO), and took over 9,400 hours to develop and construct. It features a working Ghost Mode, Koenigsegg's signature dihedral synchro-helix doors, and even the brand's iconic key. It's a flex, frankly.

The Set
The Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Megacar is the sixth entry in the Technic Ultimate Car Concept Series, following the McLaren P1 in 2024. At 4,104 pieces, it's a serious build, and the feature list reflects that. The Ghost Mode function alone is a standout: one motion raises the rear clam, rotates the doors and front hood, and folds the mirrors simultaneously, replicating how the real car works.
Other highlights include a 9-speed sequential gearbox with a new rotating gear indicator disc, a Triplex front and rear suspension system, a functional V8 piston engine with working pistons, and working steering with a removable roof. According to the design team, the gearbox, Ghost Mode, and Triplex suspension are all firsts for the Ultimate Car Concept Series.

The Lineage
The Ultimate Car Concept Series has been running since 2016, dropping a new 1:8 scale flagship every two years. The Sadair's Spear joins a lineup that includes the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056), Bugatti Chiron (42083), Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 (42115), Ferrari Daytona SP3 (42143), and McLaren P1 (42172).
If you've built any of the previous Ultimate sets, this one is clearly designed to push further than those did.
