Twenty-five years after Peter Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring hit theaters, LEGO is marking the anniversary with arguably the most ambitious Middle-earth set ever made. The White City of Gondor is getting the full Icons treatment, and the piece count alone should tell you this isn't a casual weekend build.
The Set
At 8,278 pieces, Minas Tirith is a serious display model built around a hybrid-scale concept. The outer cityscape reads as microscale, giving you that sweeping panoramic skyline with layered defensive walls, while the interior sections shift to minifigure scale so you can actually explore the citadel's throne room and other key locations from the films. Finished, it stands over 23.5 inches tall, 24.5 inches wide, and 14.5 inches deep, so clear some shelf space now.
The minifigure lineup is stacked. You get 10 figures total: Gandalf the White, Aragorn as King Elessar, Arwen, Faramir, Denethor, Peregrin Took, four Soldiers of Gondor, and the legendary Shadowfax horse figure. Accessories include Gondor helmets, shields, and Aragorn's crown, so the throne room scene practically stages itself.
